Backatcha, GM, with bells on and buttons down the middle (is that strictly a Cork expression?)

    :)

And meeting you in the flesh, so to speak was one of my pleasures of 2012!

Thank you everyone for your wishes.

WWW - ‘bells on and buttons down the middle’ is very familiar to me, but although Mammy & I were born in Dublin, I have Clare, Limerick, Cork and Meath blood in my veins.

Oh yes, ring out the old year by all means. Every optomist hopes for a better year.

Regarding the recipe. I don’t want to copy it out owing to copyright, but you are such a good cook you can figure out the amounts. The recipe includes white or Italian kidney beans, green beans (or a green like collards), 1 onion, 2 garlic cloves, 64 oz of light chicken broth, plum tomatoes and ditalini pasta. Just a basic soup, but I like it without too much tomato, hence the plum tomatoes.

Dianne - Thanks for the recipe, I’ll have a try at that one.
