BWT - I have not been inside many of the pubs in Belfast. The Crown and the Morning Star are two that I have visited. I featured the Crown in the past and the MS is on the list to run quite soon.

Nancy - The alleyways are not all beautified, The pub at the end of this one has a few tables and chairs outside under an awning. Although, since the smoking ban in public spaces came in, most pubs now provide an area outside with gas heaters for the smokers.

Conrad - That reminds me of something that happened yesterday. A friend from across the world sent me information for some place in Ballymena, He saw the word Ballymena and clicked on the link and sent it. I opened it and laughed. It was Ballymena, but not Northern Ireland. It was Ballymena in Maine!

Marianna - There are plenty more to come. I'll book the table when you have seen a few more!

I have been on Lombard Street! But, it was in San Francisco. Supposed to be the crookedest street in the world.

GM,

When you enter the narrow alleyway does the interior open up like a courtyard with tables and chairs?

If so, it would be a lot like the small patio cafes you would find in New Orleans. They are always such a surprise to those who haven't been there before.

These boutique restaurants are what make New Orleans so much fun.....Also, you can have your drink put in a large "Hurricane glass" and take it with you to the next place.

I still like the Crown and their snuggeries better...Maybe it is the company and the tales they tell that you can only stand in small doses and one wad of Kleenex.
