Gratitude

Perhaps it has something to do with the American Thanksgiving holiday, that drew Conrad to choosing this subject for today.

Gratitude

For family and friends, I am blessed.
For a roof over my head, fire in my hearth, food on my table and a comfortable bed to lay my weary bones, I am grateful.
For the opportunity to have known great love, may I be forever thankful.

I am grateful because the best things in life are not things.
In my book, the best things in life are friends.
So many of you have come through my fingertips at this keyboard,
The best gift we can give another human being is Time, and you have given that to me.

Big Time!

It really is true that the best things in life aren’t “things”. I love that you mentioned time given to us as one thing you are grateful for. I love those kinds of gifts!

Measure wealth by the things we have for which we have not paid money.

When I think of you…I gratefully think of a timeless friend…

Delirious - Time, spent sitting on the floor with a young child as s/he explores the wonders of a cardboard box, or just by being there at the bedside of an elderly person when they open their eyes; are gifts we can freely give yet they are worth more than gold.

WWW - Money, so often buys cold comfort.

Brighid - and the distance means nothing.

You always have the right priorities. And, you give better than you get.

I’m blessed to have you as a friend.

Short, yet so beautiful. If only all of us could view life through the same lens as you. I am a better person for having your company :)

Lovely sentiments indeed, and so true they ring. I feel such “gratitude” that Hubby and I were able to visit you in Ireland last month. The gift of time you spent with us is fondly remembered.

The gift of time indeed–so true a sentiment. Hubby and I especially enjoyed the gift of time with you in Ireland last month. Friendships–all kinds–are especially important as we age.
