Would you believe it?
The last Friday of March came and went for the LBC, Conrad our leader had dipped into the hat and drew out the topic for the day.
Conspiracy Theories
There are many theories going the rounds about Grannymar:
- She has keeled over and fallen off her perch.
- She has tired of the LBC group and stomped off in a huff.
- She has gone toyboy chasing. (I wonder if toyboy chasing might be the new Olympic sport?)
Let me assure you that none of the above are true. I took my aunt on holiday for a few days. The holiday for me has stretched into a week and since I am having such a good time who knows when it will end.
Now scotch that rumour…
I did not wear out any Toyboy!
I saw him in action earlier…
These guys were in the grounds of the Castle Oaks House Hotel located 7miles north east of Limerick city on the banks of the river Shannon in the parish of Castleconnell. It is surrounded by gardens and wooded walks along the river.

Rush hour in Castleconnell!

On my travels I managed to catch up with some bloggers in their own space. That is a story for another day. I’ll be back.

A lovely spot. But that second pic looks a bit vicious. I expect to see them both in A&E very shortly….

Looks like a lark! Now we need to start some new conspiracy theories about you. Hmmm … Mom thinks she knew you in a past life. But that seems too obviously true
I will work on it.

WWW - I have to do something.
Nick - It was beautiful with sunshine and 19°C each day. As for the two in the second photo, I doubt if they can move!
Conrad - I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Beautiful park. I don’t know why but I always thought of Limerick as not being the nicest of places. You’ve dispelled that conspiracy theory at least.

Baino - Limerick, like cities the world over, has bad patches. I only found the good.

[...] I am not talking about Travels with My Aunt the1989 comedy adapted by Giles Havergal from the Graham Greene novel of the same title. No, I mean a few days travelling through Ireland with my aunt who is almost like a second mother to me. I have already mentioned the hotel and location in Limerick here. [...]

I would have believed you even without the photographic evidence. I am happy that you have had a wonderful time, and I doff my topi to you for taking your Aunt on a holiday. It would have meant the world to her. Tell her that there is one nut among your blogger friends and that too from India. She may change her mind.

Ramana - Next time she might want me to take her to India!

Lovely travelogue…nice to see the legendary Shannon–(though it looked like a road to me). I did miss our weekend chats but happy that you had a nice holiday. Really nice of you to spend time with her and I am sure you too were energised.
Catch up with you soon.
