My number is up!
I had a feeling in my water that I would be called to attend Court tomorrow.
Not Buckingham Palace!
I am talking about my local Crown Court. I am typing with fingers crossed that I will not be sworn on a jury and it will be my last day to attend on this jury summons. It has been a very frustrating experience between the severe weather conditions and not knowing until the end of each business day if we were required the next morning.
With the forecast for severe weather, I decided to do a food shop today and fill my freezer, fridge and store cupboard to see me through. One of the benefits of not eating dairy products, means I get away with fewer visits to the shops. :D Hopefully I need not go near them again this year.

I kept getting called for jury duty a few years ago but never had to serve either. It’s just a nuisance to have to go down to the court house and pay to park.
I usually shop twice a month. And when my favorite staples are on sale, I stock up. It works for me!!!

Kay - I was sworn on a jury the very first day but not since. Others in my group were called and sworn three or four times!

About that big shop you did today…..Are you sure you got enough parsnips, castor oil or whatever it is you put in your recipes all the time, treacle, and, most important, did you top off your vinegar tank?

Nancy - I have the parsnips for roasting, but not on an open fire! There is plenty of treacle and enough vinegar to fill a bath!
The car was filled with petrol, the windshield washers filled with water, but I did forget something…………..
A toyboy to put in my stocking!

I’ll send one of mine right over. His name is Bruce.
Please return him to me as soon as Christmas is over.

Very frustrating having to keep attending court and only being on a jury for one day. Hopefully they won’t call you again for years - if ever!
I sent you a specially gift-wrapped toyboy a few days ago. Don’t tell me he never arrived. He must have been distracted by some blonde bimbo on the way….

Nancy - No sign yet of Brucie baby! I hope he is a good swimmer.
RG - Now you know why I am always in good form!
Nick - We are not released yet. One jury was sworn but proceedings will not begin until Monday. The remainder of our 200 must call the jury line tonight for further instructions.
By the way, that parcel got lost, maybe he was distracted by Bruce!
