Thursday Special ~ Attention Please!

1st year students of MBBS were attending their 1st anatomy class.
They all gathered around the surgery table with a real dead dog.
The Professor started class by telling two important qualities as a Doctor.
The 1st is that NEVER BE DISGUSTED FOR ANYTHING ABOUT BODY,
e.g. He inserted his finger in dog’s mouth & on drawing back tasted it in his own mouth.

Then he said them to do the same.
The students hesitated for several minutes.
But eventually everyone inserted their fingers in dog’s mouth & then tasted it.

When everyone finished, the Professor looked at them and said:
The most important 2nd quality is OBSERVATION, I inserted my Middle finger but tasted the Index finger.

Now learn to pay attention.

Moral:
Life is tough but it’s a lot tougher  when you are not paying attention.

Thanks to Ramana for this one,

Being pretty scatty myself, I often miss important details because I’m not paying enough attention. Must try harder.

    Good one!

In line with the tricks I used to play on the children at school to get them to pay attention carefully.

One example is Woops Bunny Bunny!

Paying attention is better than—monkey see monkey do.

Nick - I think you should try harder!

Steph - Very true. Ugh! the very thought….!

Magpie - Dare I say I am not familiar with that one.

    BHB - Every time!

Knowing that a dog’s mouth has less bacteria than a human’s I would not be fussed at all :)

WWB but this is a dead dog! He he!

basically Woops Bunny Bunny is a visual thing …
    Teacher: Do what I do.

Teacher then performs said silliness with hands and says the Rhyme and the folds arms.

Children all copy but none fold arms or if they do teacher tells them they are right but every one else is wrong . Often they don’t know why they got it right. This process is repeated until suddenly people “get it”…

    Silly…but fun..

I would assume that not all the students were male which would dispel the oft spoken comment from the female of the species that men just don’t listen ……..
I was told, years ago at A&E, having been bitten by a dog which had been involved in a traffic accident, that I should count myself lucky that I hadn’t been bitten by a human …

I might add that the professor was a bit ‘wuff’ with his students …

OK, ya gave me the creeps thinking about that one! My wife works in people’s mouths all day long and she said she figures that would be a good way to get a disease, LOL!

She and I are hoping this is more illustration than true story. It’s a great illustration. If you can still think through the shudders.

WWW - Maybe not being a dog owner, explains my ‘Eeeoowwww’ feeling.

Magpie - Thanks for the explanation.

Cardi - O love the description:- a bit ‘wuff’

i don’t think you want to be and “artificial inseminator” for cows and then put your finger in your mouth afterwards. Nasty!!!!!!!
I watched my brother-in- law do this many times, but he wore a glove, BUT STILL.

it’s like a condom — you hope and pray that the glove does not tear.

The Old bull was standing with his new young friend at the top of the hill surveying the herd of nice young heifers at the other end of the field….

The AI man spoils all that for them!
