A Tall Toyboy!
I met a very tall toyboy yesterday on my journey home.
The wind was so strong that his trouser legs flapped about like wind pockets. I was expecting him to take off for outer space at any moment.
He made and presented me with a gift.
The carpark at the Outlet centre was pretty full so I expected the place to be busy. I felt the atmosphere was more alive than last time I was there. There seemed to be fewer empty units this time. For those with money the bargains were plentiful. Most of the shops had 3 for 2 offers. I looked at a suit on the ‘Sample size’ rack. The jacket fit well £22 but the trousers @ £10 were actually cut-offs, the stopped mid calf so not suitable for these old cold legs.
No, I didn’t! That particular pink was not my colour.

Love the doggie - but glad you resisted those shoes!!
(Thought they were a flock of toy flamingos at first glance..).
You’d certainly turn heads though prancing down the high street on the arm of that particular toy boy! Could you even reach it, GM? (His arm, I mean…tsh!).

A balloon animal for grannymar. I hope you didn’t let him go in the wind.
Pink shoes are certainly not a color I would wear on my feet. Well, maybe on my toenails. Definitely on my toenails.

Geri - The ‘pink’ caught my eye, but would not be one of choice for my feet. The doggie was cute. I would have neck ache talking up to that tall toyboy.
Darlene - I brought balloon dog home, no, feeding, watering or walking easy peasy!

I own a pair of dyed silk shoes in a very similar pink. I was married in a vintage pink cocktail dress from the 50’s, and wanted shoes to match. They were far brighter than the dress, but certainly memorable.
I wouldn’t dare try to walk in them today, though I doubt I’d ever part with them.

I had on a pantsuit I got at a shrift shop. The jacket was size 4 & the slacks size 12, which I made over to fit. A woman had on the exact pantsuit in same coloUr. She said her pantsuit was size 4 & she made it over into a size 12.

Finally a real live tall toy boy who even gifts a toy to you. Lucky you. Pink is a colour that I always associate with Peter Sellers and it inevitably brings a smile to me.

Rummy, I agree with you about the pink colour, but it often brings trouble with it.

Grannymar, keep at it. You will adventually get back into action on you blog.
The Toyboys are taking more time than you had planned.

Where art thou, Grannymar? We are missing your validation of our remarks. We ne-e-eeed that.

I’m worried about you Grannymar. You aren’t sick are you? You didn’t die. Tell us if you died.

She’s fine BHB, she just has no working internet connection at present. Her phone/broadband company are working on it, but haven’t managed to reconnect her yet.

Pink is not my colour either. None of the shades. I’m more of an orange and brown type of person. I suppose if it was a yellow based shade rather than a blue based one, I could carry it off. I have a jacket in that pale pink shade, and it looks nice. But it’s a rare exception.
Oh and Maynard? I wouldn’t go there at all if I were you! Near the colour pink, I mean. It’s not my colour, nor Grannymar’s and certainly not yours.

Hi people! *waves* Eventually I am reconnected with the outside world. I missed you all calling by. I hope to get back to normal tomorrow (Friday).

Mrs ETB - I remember when dyed shoes were all the rage for weddings. I remember having a pair covered in the fabric of my first bridesmaid’s dress, that was back in 1962. (I was bridesmaid three times!)
BHB - I am alive and well! Ilove pant suits and jumpsuits, I seldom wear a skirt these days.
Nick - I am fine and glad to be back online again!
Ramana - That particular pink is not for me. The fact there were so many pairs in the one colour would turn me off making a purchase.
Maynard - Stay away from pink it is for little girls!
Gaelikaa - My pinks or reds are of the raspberry family, the acidics are all out for me.
