Thursday Special ~ Marriage & Men
THERE WERE THREE MEN WANTING TO GET MARRIED.
They desired a housewife to take good care of them.
The first man married a woman from IDAHO. He told her that she was to do the dishes and house cleaning. It took a couple of days, but on the third day, he came home to see a clean house and dishes washed and put away.
The second man married a woman from TEXAS He gave his wife orders that she was to do all the cleaning, dishes and the cooking. The first day he didn’t see any results, but the next day he saw it was better. By the third day, he saw his house was clean, the dishes were done and there was a huge dinner on the table.
The third man married a girl from PHILLY. He ordered her to keep the house cleaned, dishes washed, lawn mowed, laundry washed, and hot meals on the table for every meal. He said the first day he didn’t see anything, the second day he didn’t see anything, but by the third day, some of the swelling had gone down and he could see a little out of his left eye, and his arm had healed enough that he could fix himself a sandwich and load the dishwasher.

I am not bananas enough to go anywhere near Philadelphia. Wild horses will not be able to drag me there. What would have happened if the third bloke had married an Irish lass?

If I was the first wife I would have told him to take a running jump, never mind the third wife!

I’m sure I have heard that before and am not so sure that I haven’t heard at least on other version. BTW over here Philly is a cream cheese spread… which is wonderful by itself on a water biscuit but lends itself to all sorts of treatments with herbs and garlic and the like…
Philly and chopped chilli is good…. philly and pineapple..oops…dairy…sorry Gm.

Hi Maynard,
No, I wouldn’t really do that to a man,especially my husband….
Are you really thinking of moving West? Central Pennsylvania is a wonderful place to be..

Hope you all have a lovely Easter with your families..

Ramana - In this day and age any Irish lass would tell the young man to go look for a slave elsewhere!
Nick - Me too. It is one thing doing chores because you want to, and a totally different ball game when you are TOLD to do them!
Maynard - Why west?
Magpie - Philadelphia cream cheese comes from over the pond. Many a time I had six packs of it in the fridge at once. To make cheese cakes for others and not for me!
Nancy - Hi! It is good to know you are home safe once more.

Nancy, I grew up in Kansas, but since the Jayhawks left me down, maybe not.
