It is a box of candy that has been fabricized (made that word up) with mold growing on it.

Apologies for the late acknowledgement of comments, I am having far too much fun on my travels!
Mayo - This time you are way off the mark, it is made using a fabric sample and swatches of toning colour.
Magpie - No foil or paper involved in the work. The whole piece is sitting on a sheet of white background.
Cardi - I wonder if Paddy Bloggit emigrated? Maybe he won the €Millions at some stage and forgot all about us!
