Thanks for the advice, the straws could work though because crochet flowers would be a bit chunky if I was using regular yarn..... another project to add to the ever increasing list! :-)

Maynard - I like the pink of the petals too.

BHB - The only stitching was in the leaf, and I mentioned it (when I had my glasses back) in a comment above to Marian.

You told us about a straw & felt, but didn't mention that stitchery---in the post---without your glasses.
My wedding was pink & green. The bridesmaid dresses, the decoration on the white cake, Mother's dress. (Pink & green was her idea but I loved it too.)

Maynard - Which pink?

Darlene - I made all the curtains for my house including those for a wall to wall, floor to ceiling window in my lounge room. Being fully lined they are real heavy and I doubt if I would be able to remove or hang them on my own now.

You are so creative, Grannymar. Is there nothing done with fabric that you haven't attempted? Well, maybe you haven't hung giant curtains in Central Park like that couple did some years ago.

Nick - That is a very early sample and one I almost binned. glad the eye test went well. I hope I do as well.

Magpie - It will not survive in damp conditions!

WWW - I have to disappoint you -- the petals were cut from felt and glued into the top of the straw.

Baino - It was with difficulty and a little blurred!
