After the Snow
We had a thaw and it was followed by rain.
Friday the wind howled and roared with a vengence trying to find entry or blow my house down. The house won. On Saturday morning the wind was gone like a naughty animal with its tail between its legs.
The day was mild so I worked outside for two hours in the garden (clearing and sweeping up)! It is the first time in twelve months that I have been able to do that. Woo Hoo!
Today the daylight is different. Not sunny. But Different.
I am off to enjoy it. Catch you later.

We are having torrents of rain today and it is expected to last for quite a while. We need it - so I won’t complain. Enjoy your day!

We had the howling wind yesterday and then it started raining. It hasn’t rained here in about a month, so it’s needed. Working in your garden! What a delight! Have fun on you sunshine enjoying day!

We weren’t so lucky, the bedroom ceiling started dripping at around 2am. We have to get a builder to look at the roof before the next lot of heavy rain that’s forecast for Wednesday!

Maynard - I did enjoy my time outdoors today.
Judy - We are promised more heavy rain on Wednesday and Thursday.
Judy H - Not much sunshine, but mild enough for me to be in the garden. This year, I hope to get outside at every opportunity.
Ramana - I have sunshine in my heart, if not in the sky. It is good to be alive.
Nick - Poor you and Jenny. Does the survey you had done before moving cover you? I hope it is not something serious or too painful on the pocket.

Raining here and supposed to rain for at least a week. We are so behind on rain that I’m not complaining. Got to work in the garden for a couple of beautiful days before the rain. Oh glory, to be outside in the sunshine, in the new mow’n clover.

Hopefully it’s something minor like a gap in the flashing next to the chimney stack. It wasn’t anything mentioned in the survey, it’s really just one of those unexpected faults.

Glad to read that your gardening was pain free (at last!). Good luck to you GM!
As for that howling wind, well it hasn’t reached us over in the Lowlands - yet *shudder*. I hate storms.

Brighid - I was reminded today that mid winter was six weeks after solstice, so that would be….. 2nd February. Spring starts six weeks after that… round or about St Patrick’s day, mind you I remember snow on a St Patrick’s day!
Nick - I hope it is a minor one and easily fixed.

Geri - I am taking it slowly, doing a little more each day.

We had the sunshine today! And I got stuck with trying to fix new skirting board….. of course I was “doing it all wrong”…..
Th other ting I was charges with doing was asking all the Turkish supermarkets if they have Poppy Seeds in stock…. had to come home and get a translation from the machine and was then told, “In Turkey yes many Poppy seed. Here not any.”
That translation? haşhaş tohumu…..

You’re doing really well with that new hip aren’t you? I’m so pleased - will you be dancing by the time summer comes then?

If the new hip was programmed to dance….. you never know!
