Faith
Anu, Ashok, Conrad, Gaelikaa, Ginger, Grannymar, Judy, Magpie 11, Maria, & Ramana (Helen is on sabbatical right now) - all members of the Loose Blogging consortium faithfully turn out once more with their take on the topic for the week, chosen by Anu.
Faith
You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty. ~ Mohandas K.Gandhi (1869-1948)

On a lighter note, I think I would need faith to wear these:
I have heard of meals on wheels; but Legs on wheels!!
Well nailed!
Ugh!
Thank you Cynthia, the email arrived in the nick of time.

Out of the box thinking again Grannymar. Great way to convey a difficult idea.

In response to your pics…
Ouch!
Ouch!
and No Way!
I’ve no faith in wearing those heels, Grannymar and as for those rodent slippers

That looks very, very painful…..

Those are some crazy looking shoes! LOL!

I’m just listening respectfully to any woman who can stand there on a pair of nails as heels!
Nick said,

The heels in the top pic look more like medical appliances than shoes. I can’t believe anyone could wear them for longer than about 10 seconds without falling in an ignominious heap.
As for faith, I guess it’s another word for optimism, and I have plenty of that. Being pessimistic always ends up badly, lol.

Ramana - Out of the box?? Desperation more like!
Steph - You mean you don’t want a lends of them?
Gaelikaa - Some say - No pain no gain - I think I will keep my feet firmly on the ground.
Kimme - They are not in my collection. Honest!
Conrad - I bet it is less comfortable than a bed of nails!
Nick - Heels firmly on the ground, my glass is more than half full!

I have faith that you’d not be so daft as to attempt to wear those.
But it might be ill founded.
The last one reminds me of one Andrew harper who , in the dorm one night stepped out of bed and killed a mouse…and matron fainted!

I’d wear the rat ones since i don’t wear high hells (typo- but good description). Rats can be cute. My daughter had one. Black & white, called Mickey.

Very entertaining post, grannymar.

Oh well. That would need more than faith to try them on. Still it took some faith to create them.

Call me warped but I really liked the rat slippers!
Baino said,

Gawd surely they’re for show! Then I see some girls tottering along on 4 inch heels and barely balancing. Not for me, I am the ultimate ’sensible’ shoe woman. Ratty slilppers . . . hmmm that gives me an idea . . .
Grannymar said,

Magpie - I daft I may be, but daft enough to try these shoes - NEVER!
BHB - I hate rats!
Judy - Thank you, I would have called it different!
Anil - Faith and vision.
Nelly - You can have them!
Baino - I feel a post coming on for you!

ROTFL! The first ones are appalling, the nails strictly for the S&M crowd of course and the rats just scary. I’d think you’d need a strong constitution, hardy feet and a soupcon of crazy to wear any of ‘em! But that’s just me….if you secretly have a pair Grannymar, my apologies and I applaud your….individuality.
;O)

About the poor ocean…it is becoming seriously polluted by mankind’s garbage. It’s not just that we humans are bad, if there were 6+ billion elephants on the planet the ecosystem would probably be in trouble from them. You’re quite right to focus on the shoes!

Grannymar, I think you might have been smitten with Mickey; he was very attractive.
He came out of Lydia’s shirt & jumped on the shoulder of the girl next to Lydia, in a lecture auditorium in college. The girl screamed RAT! Mickey ran back into Lydia’s shirt & everyone thought the girl was crazy.

The girl STOOD UP & screamed RAT! So she really looked crazy.
Grannymar said,

Helen - Do you really think I would wear shoes like that??? No, don’t answer that one.
Jean - Jean there is good and bad in everything. In the sea, on the land in the air. The end of the world has been predicted since Adam was a boy and here we are still going.
BHB - Sorry, but I don’t like rats or cats! You can keep them is someone else’s pocket.

bikehikebabe,
I think your rat story is hysterical. Thank you for the laugh.

“The end of the world has been predicted since Adam was a boy and here we are still going.”
It’s not about the end of the world. It’s about the suffering that goes on during the transitions. As I said, you have the right idea focusing on shoes.

I have a real admiration for rats…they are so clever and adaptable.
What’s the betting that within a few years of Humans landing on Mars and colonising there will be rats there…threatening the native fauna.
(I’m not sure of my punctuation there)

Jean - There is one thing sure, I can’t solve the problems of the ocean or the world single handed, mind you that doesn’t mean I ignore them.
I am not obsessed with shoes, they are only a plaything.
Magpie - You can have the rats! Play away!

Was just thinking to myself, “What was the name of that Jane Austen novel? FAITH and Sensibility?”
Then, I remembered that it was Sense and Sensibility.
Maybe, in this case, Faith, Sense and Sensibility?
I’m with you - haven’t worn any type of heels in years.

Magpie11,
You make a great point! And what about cockroaches? They’ve been around much longer than either humans or rats. I have to admit, I’d rather have a pet rat than a pet cockroach.
