It's that awful dry cold I was telling you about in a previous LBC post, in case you might recall. No frost and snow, but dry, and draughty. It might be better down where Ashok, Anu and Ramanabhai are because they are closer to the Arabian sea. The houses here are built for warm weather which doesn't help. I didn't know about a frost sweetening oranges but certainly parsnips and beet are sweeter after frosting and so are Brussels Sprouts so it doesn't surprise me. I suspect that the oranges make more sugar so that they don't freeze all the way through. Like anti freeze. Just an idea. Takes me back to my 11+Exam day:

I didn’t know about a frost sweetening oranges but certainly parsnips and beet are sweeter after frosting and so are Brussels Sprouts so it doesn’t surprise me. I suspect that the oranges make more sugar so that they don’t freeze all the way through. Like anti freeze. Just an idea.

Beautiful pics and a lovely looking street. My nectarines got a bit of frost bite when my stupid brother turned the bar fridge up to max to chill his beer! Now I'll have to stew them instead of eating them fresh. I live in a citrus growing area and they say that a good frost helps sweeten the oranges. Hope you had a wonderful day Grannymar.
