Art with My Needle ~ Week 17
Most people are busy right now so I am sticking with a little sample of cut work.
The front
The back
The stitch used throughout is buttonhole stitch. All the pattern is worked before the desired area is cut close to the stitches, making sure not to cut through them.
A short video details how to form the stitch. As a bonus to the right of the video are plenty more , showing other stitches for anyone that may be interested.

I love cut work and may come back after the holidays to watch the video. I would like to give that t a try. I don’t think anyone is too old to learn something new.

Cutwork has always amazed me. Yours is beautiful.
I have a blogging question for you off topic, if you don’t mind. Nothing earth shattering or bad, just wanted to know what I might do to find out how another blogger is, as there have been no posts on her blog for many months. Concerned B

Found my way again! (Turns out I had to change the url from grannymar.com to grannymar.com/blog. Now I enter directly on the latest post whereas before I entered on the red photo page with all the different links to begin from there.) Glad to have things sorted out again.
Darlene is right, we’re never too old to learn something new. I want to do the same after the holidays. I’m supposed to be able to do that on my machine, but haven’t had the nerve to try it. So don’t remove that video link! You’d be great fun to have as a neighbor!
