I am not a has-been. I am a will be. Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance

Maynard - You will have to watch your language. I found you in the sin bin, all because you used the word 'wow'! That has to be a first!

Nancy - A song in sign language, what a wonderful idea.

Magpie - I do remember both songs. My granny was always playing games with songs just as you describe.... she was full of fun... I still miss her!

Priceless and to be enjoyed by many as a result of this post...

This reminds me of a piece of obscure musical knowledge:
You may remember a song which goes "Yes! We have no bananas. We have no bananas today."

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jT6JkceQ9FU (about 1minute in)

and the song "My Bonnie lies over the ocean"
Chorus ends Bring back my bonnie to me...

Well the music goes like this:

Haleluliah! Bananas! Bring back my bonny to me!

It works....

Err sorry!

Grannymar,

I loved this. Such clever kids!

I once went to one of my Grandson's Chorus concerts and as part of the program they sang a very lively song from Grease without making a sound.

The entire song was done in sign language because they had a deaf classmate and they thought she would enjoy it... As a matter of fact, we ALL enjoyed it...

Reminds me of the famous Bob Dylan video where he holds up a series of placards and peels them off one by one. I can't help wondering what the monks look like under the clothing. And how do we know they're genuine monks? They might all be postmen.

I had the same problem as Sam but it's okay now.
