Thursday Special ~ World’s Shortest Fairy Tale
Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl ‘Will you marry me?’
The girl said, ‘NO!’
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and went fishing and hunting and played golf a lot and drank beer and scotch and had money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and did whatever he wanted.
The end
Thank you Cynthia for this weeks story.

And the girl gossiped and played with her make-up and spent hours on the phone and maxed out her credit cards in shopping malls and drank cocktails and sunbathed on foreign beaches and there was no husband to tell her she shouldn’t be doing any of that. The end.

I wonder what happened to him after he crossed the magic number of sixty years of age!

I don’t care what anyone says. Getting married is always better.

Nick - some of the girls do that whether there is a husband or not.
Ramana - I know a few of them and they are happy with their lot, they usually have a dog for companionship.
Gaelikaa - I totally agree. I married almost 33 years ago and although I have been alone for a third of that time, nothing compares to the time when I had a husband. We had fun everyday.

Of course, when he got to his late fifties and decided he needed company, he married a woman in her twenties who decided she liked security and lots of money!
(I’ve seen it happen!)

Ian - I hope nobody had thoughts like that about me.
Security and money certainly never played a part in my decision.
Magpie - Not like you to say nothing.

I think the post script for the guy is he lived to be 70, had a new girl friend for every day of the week and didn’t get married until he got sick and needed someone to take care of him. At least that’s the end of the story of the men I know now.
