Yes indeed, you can’t be too cautious when fending off those nasty germs! The mobile toilet roll is an inspiration, I think there’d be a big market for that….

Nick,
I agree!

Poor Piglet! Do we all get tied up like that when the swine flu hits?
I predict that ‘Back to School’ this year is gonna have a whole new significance.

Grannymar,
I will not be able to comment today because I think I have the Swine Flu.

Oh sooo adorable. I love stuffed animals (& animals in general). They’re even more adorable playing that part; puting on a show like that.

Too bad for Piglet that the flu was characterized as ‘Swine Flu”. Poor little porkers are totally innocent.
If I ever get the flu I shall see if I can devise a clever way to hold a box of tissues on my head. TP isn’t soft enough for my tender nose.

@WWW - I think it might just work!
@Darlene - Does the right person ever get the blame for anything? Some of our loo paper is actually softer than tissues!

I’m being punished for propagating the picture of Piglet..tho’ I did thinks my pal Eeyore would have had a bit more sympathy…
Cue for a song:
I’ve got the aches all over me. Sore down my backbone. Stiffness in the knee bones. Pains down my thigh bones. Throbbing in my skull bones. And I’m achin’ all over .. and a temperature of 39 C (102 F) Bye all!
Oink!

Some of our loo paper is softer than some tissues, too, but I was thinking of those very soft tissues made specifically for people with a cold and sore noses. I must learn to be clearer in my statements.
I don’t know about Ireland, but my Swiss friends loo paper felt like sandpaper.
–Guess it was a local thingie. If I ever visit them again I am putting a roll of my own TP in my suitcase.

Does anyone remember Izal toilet paper. It was a bit like grease proof paper on a roll. You had to scrumple it up a bit to make it work. Oh dear is this too much information lol

My daughter in Sweden, said the toilet paper was like waxed paper when she 1st was there. “It didn’t do the job.”

In the all American (toxicwastedump) outhouse we used the Sears catalog or the Sunday paper. What a blessing when they switched to soy ink.

@Magpie - Hugs from all at Grannymar Gables hoping you recover quickly.
I think we covered all aspects of this subject last month in A Room with a Loo

Gawd, I’m such a white rabbit these days . . always late. 19,000 piggies have the snots over here apparently. Poor porkers. I hope they have a hankie. Of course the media’s going ballistic and scaring the shit out of anyone so pork prices have dropped . .it’s not transmittable through meat . . mmmm . . .cheap bacon. Sorry Piglet!

Baino,
Better late than never! The tissue companies will be rubbing their hands at the moment.

A long time ago I did Market Research. One of the jobs was to research a certain brand of T P. It had to be bought in a “certain” Supermarket. For 3 weeks I had to load the boot of the car with 12 rolls and call to the 12 designated houses to ask certain questions as to what they thought of the TP. Questions like :- “Was it soft to the touch” “Were there enough sheets” “Was it absorbent enough” As you can imagine I got to know these 12 people very well at the end of the 3 weeks. By the way a man I used to work for called Izal and Bronco TP “Skid Variety”!!!!!!!

Welcome Barbara, I think that was one Market Research job to miss! I am sure the participants very well indeed at the end of the run!
