Did you all have fun this evening? I was out for dinner the craic was good and the wine has left me with a warm glow.

@Nancy & Bikehikebabe - I thin you both need to break open a new bar of soap for the bath and to soothe all those scratches why not have a vinegar bath!

@Ramana - What are you up to that all your buttons need replacing? ;)

@Magpie - We did have summer for one weekend and it was warm enough to melt the tar on the roads. Can youplease stop talking about eating light bulbs or everyone will want the recipe on Monday!

@Alice - I am beginning to think my blog will need a health warning!

Grannymar didn't say to eat a light bulb. She only said to stick it in our soap.

I agree with Nancy. Those needles and pins hurt like hell when you're taking a bath.

But worse is the bath soap that was stuck into the jagged edges of a broken light bulb in the socket. OUCH! Should I go to the Emergency Room?

Grannymar, you usually give good advice, but you should stay away from giving---Tips?

Not having a car I would'nt know about that...mother used margarine or lard on our sandals.

I was wondering when you were expecting weather hot enough to melt tar? We've had our summer surely?

Sewing needles in soap! Now why did I not think of that earlier? Now that I have to stitch all my buttons by myself, I needed this advise alright! Thanks Grannymar.

"Use a bar of soap as a pin cushion. While sewing the soap on the needle or pins helps them to pass through the fabric easily."

Yes, Grannymar, BUT, those needles and pins hurt like hell when you try to use that soap for a bath.

I have switched to a regular pin cushion because I am tired of being all scratched up and scarred from using the same bar for both a pin cushion and a bath.... Tell me, am I doing something wrong?
