Ramana - My father always drank whiskey with a dash of water, alas it came from the tap and not as stream. In Dublin he would have died of thirst before he found a stream or waterfall!

Did you know that WOGs are the only ones left that drink single malt whiskies with "branch water"? WOG incidentally means Westernized Oriental Gentleman. I used to be called that.

Just see http://www.straightdope.com/columns/read/1248/what-is-branch-water

WWW,

Two very sad epitaphs. I hope they are not a reflection of your mood.

The epitaph no one needs:

Died at 60, Buried at 80

I love the 2 mood of the waterfall.

XO
WWW

Oh, and another really sad one:
"99% of us die with our music locked within us."

Oh Nancy . .that reminds me of the time we used a 'humane' mouse catcher and caught three of them. We took them about 500metres down the road and released them only to see them scoffed by crows! Ah well . .at least we cared. Nice one Grannymar and I'm trying very, very hard to unlearn the rules set by others! Does that include having a chardy before the sun's over the yardarm? Good . .

@Nick - I have walked along the lough in various stages but never the whole walk in one go. Who knows.... perhaps one day.

@Annb - The problems I seem to run away from these days are the difficult physical chores I took in my stride a few years ago.

@Nancy - I totally agree with your first quote. As for the second... who are we to say that a whale's life is less important than that of a couple of seals?

@Ramana - Our temperate climate and abundance of rain means we are seldom without water. Our water might be good for making tea, Guinness and whiskey but it plays hell with the rheumatism!

@Judy - I wonder who taught me about the in-betweens? ;)

@Darlene - You and me both! :lol:
