A beautiful day
The sun had got its hat on, so I went out to play….
I spied these little flowers as I was on my way.
And the last one for today:
Anyone guess where I was?

I think so too. And you photographed wild strawberries, wood anemones and the beginnings of bluebells.

Joy bells are ringing,
The songs birds are singing,
And everyone’s happy and gay.
Dull days are over,
We’ll soon be in clover,
So pack all your troubles away.
The sun has got his hat on
Hip-hip-hip-hooray!
The sun has got his hat on,
He’s coming out today.
Hope you get out to play again today, Grannymar

You’re getting the day we got yesterday - 16 degrees and a sparkling Galway Bay. Sadly the rain is back with us today.

@Nick - I got you this time, think again.
@Nelly - Thanks for confirming the flora and see what I said to Nick.
@Steph - Are you auditioning for the Eurovision Song Contest?
@Annb - The windows are all open here and I am off to the garden while we have sunshine.

I’m stumped, I don’t recognise it as being anywhere very local to you… but I’ll guess Tardree Forest?? Either that or somewhere around CaveHill, but I don’t think you would have attempted that with your hip at present…

No idea where you were but the strawberry looks like Barren Strawberry (Potentilla sterilis) from the leaves and the bluebells look like so called English Bluebells (Hyacynthoides non-scripta) as opposed to the blowzier and bigger Spanish Bluebells (Hyacinthoides hispanica)…am resisting being non PC about foreign invaders!
I posted some pics of Wood Anemones on Face book the other day!…
Where were you? I love the moss covered walls of the “canyon”

Are those Hart’s Tongue ferns across the way from the steps?

@Elly - I am surprised at you. I am sure you were there at some stage.
Magpie - You are a walking encyclopedia! Thanks for all that info.

Magpie, I missed the last question. Hopefully Nelly will pop back with the answer.
