More of the crannied wall

This little plant seems to be stretching out its leaves with joy.

It reminds me of the hands and hearts that opened and stretched out in welcome for me, into a home filled with a very special love one weekend back in the autumn.

This picture above and the one yesterday were both part of this wall.

    Grannymar,

    A lovely image.

    You do realise, you’ll get yourself a reputation…

    No, not the ‘bag lady’… the camera lady!

    Same home stretches out same hearts and hands to give you a big hug. The Christmas here has been very special, with bright prospects for the New Year to come.

    Hey…you’ve done it again!(Polypodium vulgare IIRC)

    Looks like Common Polypody…..no longer grows in Epping Forest due to pollution!!!! This means that the area you live in/took the pic in is not very polluted.

    What else grows on that wall? Ivy Leaved Toadsflax? Wall Rue? Rusty Back Fern? Hart’s Tongue? Spleenworts? And snails galore on spring evenings?

    My mom used to have a rock garden; not a wall, but mounded rocks against a stucco wall. It was lovely, and you make me remember it. Thanks.

    @Darragh - Glad your Christmas was special!

    @Magpie - I was visiting ther area, alas it is a long way from where I live.

    @Judy - So pleased I jogged that memory. :D

    Have just found some Ivy leaved Toad’s flax on the picture …It’s just down from the pink rose! Cannot identify anything else!

    WWW,

    We are kindred spirits! I prefer rocks and raw nature to manicured gardens.
