Thursday Special ~ Bedtime Prayers
As it was getting near to Christmas a young boy was upstairs praying while his mother sat by him and his father and Grandmother were down stairs.
He prayed thus, ‘Lord please send me a train set and a remote control car and a BICYCLE’.
You don’t have to shout dear says his mother God is not deaf.
I know that he replied but Grandma is!!

I used to ring my Granny before my Birthday just to tell her how excited I was that it was my birthday SOON…hoping she’d get the hint. She always did!

It’s always the grandparents that spoil the children…

All my Granny ever gave me were home knitted jumpers. My mother loved it but I wanted a pair of Cindarella Slippers!

Baino,
All my Granny knit were big woolen socks and they thankfully went to my youngest Uncle.

I never had a Granny or any grandparents for that matter
All long gone by the time I arrived.
But I did get a bicycle once for Christmas
… a hand-me-down re-painted one

@Steph - I never knew my Grandfathers and one granny died when I was eight. The remaining Granny was a wonderful character with a heart of fun and laughter.
@Judy - Did you hear him?
