Moneygall
Anyone know where that is?
Wikipedia tells us:
Moneygall (Irish: Muine Gall, meaning Grove of the foreigners) is a small town in County Offaly, Ireland, on the N7 route between Dublin and Limerick, on the County Tipperary/Offaly border. While the village is located in County Offaly the Gaelic Athletic Association playing field is located in County Tipperary. At the 2006 census, the town had a population of 298. Moneygall has a Roman Catholic church, five shops, a post office, a national school, a Garda Síochána station and two pubs.[1]
Now if you want a little break from the frenzy of shopping or are scratching you brain to think of the perfect gift for old uncle Pat or great aunt Maud, why not sit down and take a look at this little beauty, a YouTube video released yesterday by Universal Music
I guarantee that Moneygall and Barack Obama will remain on your mind and in your head for the whole of the day. Rumour has it that a certain local clergy person has a walk on part about 3/4 ways through the clip. To date I have not met him, so I am not sure if we see the man of the cloth himself or a cartoon version of him.
To buy the single go to iTunes and search for ‘Corrigan Brothers’ or your nearest record store - Buy one for all your friends and help Moneygall to Number 1 for Christmas!

Moneygall is in BIFFO’s home county. It would be some scoop to get him singing on stage on January 20th…
“Toor a loo, toor a lama”
YES WE CAN!

Love that video - especially the Riverdance parts! LOL
Also love your story in my comments, but I wish you had hit him with a cast iron frying pan!

@Paddy A - You are welcome!
@Baino - They are better dancers than I am!
@Steph - How’s your Riverdance? Hope you are practising for Cork
@Wendy - It was lovely to meet you yesterday.
@Judy - I thought you might enjoy the video!
No need for the frying pan - that might have taken me to Court and it would have been my word against his. The flour was all over his face and clothes, with the print of my five fingers on his cheek! I am sure it took some explaining when he went home!

Picked up a hitcher there once. The Bus Eireann driver had told her it was Neanagh ( the bugger). She was on her way to interview the instigator of the Slow Food Ireland movement. This was the first I’d heard of it. I like the slow movement a lot. She had a fabulous ass, I only noticed as I dropped her off outside Neanagh.

Haha! That’s great. Trust the Irish to give you a chuckle when you need one!
Fortunately, I don’t think the giggling has cracked another rib…
Be prepared for an ‘orrible sight if you peep in on ‘ageing ungracefully’ Grannymar (namely me, in my present predicament. I’ve uploaded a photo - and beauty queen I aint)!

Magpie - Did you not realise that everyone in the world was Irish at some time… our fathers had great bicycles!
Thrifty _ I don’t believe you! Of coures you read the menu before you offered the lift!
Geri - Welcome back. Are you in the wars again? I’m coming right over!

Ah! The lost tribe of Israel. I have read books that seek to prove that the Irish (and the English) are really African…and I’m not talking about “The Black Irish”….weird arguments….
I did enjoy the record tho’…. I wanted to send the link to a couple of people but couldn’t work out how to!
