HEALTH WARNING—
Put that HOT Coffee down

The Original Computer
Memory was something you lost with age
An application was for employment
A program was a TV show
A cursor used profanity
A keyboard was a piano
A web was a spider’s home
A virus was the flu
A CD was a bank account
A hard drive was a long trip on the road
A mouse pad was where a mouse lived
And if you had a 3 inch floppy - - - - -
You just hoped nobody ever found out!?!
Click if you must!

And a desktop was something cluttered with unpaid bills and family photos. Of course I clicked. This guy has quite a movement - he ought to be a belly dancer….

A mobile was something that hung over a baby’s cot.
Love the print/delete on the picture!

Can’t click but can imagine - love the pic of the computer!
And Wallpaper stuck to your walls!
And a cache was usually stolen goods.
And a download was…., well, never mind. ;^)

My boss asked me to go downstairs yesterday and bring him the ‘mail book’ so he could see whether a particular parcel had been sent . . he was flabbergasted to learn it was actually on an excel spreadsheet! Some things never change!

LOL…That’s hilarious, Grannymar.
My favourite old-tech phrase is “Sneaker Net”. The youngsters can’t quite fathom carrying a 5 1/4 floppy from one computer to another. Do I really want to admit that I remember those days?

JD,
I suppose those 5¼ floppies were heavier and more difficult to lose, unlike today’s laptops and DVDs!
