Been using the salted Cod for our traditional Baccala Christmas eve dinner. Going to try this recipe with frozen Cod Loins. Write me if you want to know how my extended non-Italian family reacted to this menu substitute.

Yum. I actually have some nice silver dory in the freezer so tonight's heart friendly dinner awaits! Sounds delish. I use tiny chat's potatoes (new potatoes although they're available all year here) they go sooooooo well with fish.

@Nancy - Do you not boil the potatoes before mashing them?

@Steph - I have a friend who buys her chips from a Chinese take away. She swears they are far better than home made or from the local chipper!

@ Nancy

Don't tell Grannymar, but...

we have a great chip shop nearby (run by Italians) so this will make the perfect accompaniment to her recipe.

My costume may need some adjustment afterwards
