Question time

When I am sewing my mind wanders…

River Liffey at Lucan

Perhaps you can help me

Once you’re in heaven, do you get stuck wearing the clothes you were buried in for eternity?

Can a hearse carrying a corpse drive in the Bus lane?

Now where did I put that needle? Ouch!

    Grannymar,

    No need to worry!

    No clothes needed in heaven :roll:

    But you’ll need money to pay the toll charges en route!

    Now, get back to your sewing! :evil:

    No, yes, and I see that you found it.

    I’m not going to heaven - I’ll be joining Lottie in hell. Clothingwise, I think we’ll be wearing a lot of leather.

    @Steph, I’ll have to sew all the harder if I want to make enough money for the toll charges en route! :roll:

    @Judy, I found it!

    @Darren, leather… Mmmm! That sounds interesting ;)

    Not to upset you any more than you already are,GM, but I have a couple of questions, too!

    If man evolved from monkeys and apes, why do we still have monkeys and apes?

    and

    Why is there an expiration date on sour cream?

    Dunno, but doesn’t the liffey look nice in Lucan

    Heaven: As we are leaving our physical form behind, clothing is not needed. I think this means there is no sex in heaven…..

    Bus: A hearse is not allowed to drive in the bus lane, as per the rules of the road. http://www.drivingschoolireland.com/bus-cycle-lanes-luas.html#2
    Now if they introduce a carpool lane, I’m not so sure….

    Needle: That thing sticking out of your finger is your needle.
    ____________________________________________________________________

    Nancy: We still have monkeys and apes because some people are lazy and slow, while others are ahead of the game. I am more perplexed that we have slow and lazy people? I think they must have just been lucky,

    Expiration dates on sour cream is one of the 3 mysteries of the universe. Nobody can answer that one.

    @Nancy - DDdrinks seems to have come up with answers for your questions!

    @Roy It is hard to believe it is the same River Liffey we see in Dublin City.

    @DDdrinks You make heaven sound dull ;) Thanks for all the answers. I am mopping up the blood from my finger as I write! Maybe I should have removed the needle first :lol:

    why do we park in a driveway and drive on a parkway?
    What are you sewing, GM?

    DDdrinks,

    “Expiration dates on sour cream is one of the 3 mysteries of the universe. Nobody can answer that one.”

    Please, sir, what are the other two mysteries of the Universe?

    I really liked your answer about the monkeys and apes. You are very clever…..

    @WWW, In Ireland we don’t have ‘parkways’, but then we do things in our own way! ;)

    I am making curtains and blinds for Elly’s new house. I’ll be over to see how I’m tagged.

    @DDdrinks, now go on and tell Nancy all you know!

    Well I’m glad to hear you found you needle.

    Just be glad it was only stuck in your finger ;)

    @Nancy - the last 2 mysteries are a bit to get your head round, but basically the 2nd mystery of the universe is, what is the final mystery of the universe. Once we get the figure out the final mystery of the universe then there will only be 2 mysteries of the universe.

    There used of course be 4 mysteries in the universe, the fourth being the meaning of life, the universe and everything, however as documented by Douglas Adams, this is actually 42.

    Grannymar,

    DD ,as we friends call him, has left my mind behind in the dust of his brillance. Seriously, I haven’t a clue!

    Now, about the River Liffey at Lucan. That is a truly beautiful scene.

    It reminds me of the time my Godchild moved to a new home in Cricklade,Wiltshire, England. My daughter and I visited her and she took us out through her back garden to see a little stream.

    That little stream, she told us, was the source of the Thames! There it was ,bubbling out of the ground and forming a small waterway that turned into the mighty Thames that flows so majestically through London.

    It was amazing for us to see that. So, does the River Liffey flow into Dublin or does it flow through Dublin and then head West to Lucan?

    Grannymar I like to think that each day when we wake up in heaven we’ll be wearing clothes that reflect our mood. I’m hoping for lots of ballgowns & Audrey Hepburn type dresses - and to look good in them, lol

    If we do go dressed, there will be lots of people in black suits and poorly fitting wedding dresses . .and I know two who will be wearing their golfing gear (don’t ask) ugh! Take your sewing kit with you GM, it might be needed!

    @ChrisD
    I have an armchair that Ilose needles in all the time. I never find them and nobody ever complains of needles sticking in them.

    @DD
    you are way to deep for me today.

    @Nancy
    The Liffey passes through Lucan on its journey east to Dublin and from there into the Irish Sea.

    @Niamh
    When I was in my twenties ‘Dress Dances’ were very popular. I usually attended at least 6 in the season. Being a stick insect (long before Kate Moss was heard of) and fond of sewing, I made a new dress for each occasion. It was fun.

    @Baino
    I hope someone has a camera for a group photo! :roll:

    In heaven everyone is naked and beautiful. GM is already there as a 38 year old Wonderwomann!

    Why would a hearse want a bus lane Where do they have to go in a hurry?

    And the needle is over there.

    Lottie

    ‘naked and beautiful’ I hope they have an iron for me! :lol:

    A hearse usually has a passenger!

    Now I see the needle, thanks !
