FOOD MONDAY ~ CHOCOLATE MOUSSE
Serves 4
All of us have our own favourite chocolate mousse recipe. This recipe uses egg whites to give lightness.
120g good quality dark chocolate
40g castor sugar
5 egg whites
2 egg yokes
Chop the chocolate into small pieces. Melt in a stainless steel or pyrex bowl over a saucepan of barely simmering water. Allow to cool a little.
Stir the egg yolks into the melted chocolate. Whisk the whites until they are stiff and gradually add the sugar. Beat until the whites form stiff peaks. Fold one third of the egg whites into the chocolate mixture and then fold in the remaining egg white.
Pour the chocolate mousse into a serving bowl or individual dishes. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving.
Eat as quickly as you can before Grannymar gets home!

I don’t know what happened to my recipe that I posted HOURS ago. It’s not here….
Here it is again.
It is for a delicious stew.
Put in a big pot.
Gallon of water
Onions
Carrots
Potatoes
leeks
scallions
tomato paste
Boil for a few hours and you can add a bunny rabbit to the mixture. This is optional. It’s all according to whether or not you want a hare in your stew….

I may have been up and out yesterday…. well there were Toyboys gathering at BarCamp Belfast. It was fun and very informative.
Today is a different matter and Grannymar is running on low power… it will improve. Don’t tell the Toyboys or my reputation will be ruined!
