I remember living in my first student flat on Baggot St. It was a dingy basement but it was home and it was freedom. I shared with 2 girls, one a friend's girlfriend and the other her friend. We all landed with our assorted collections of non matching cuttlery and crockery but I also had a box which contained at least 30 mugs! Great Gillian said - We will only have to wash up once a week (and she meant it) - I spent the rest of the year cleaning up after the two of them :-) And to cap it all I slept in the pantry which was the so called 2nd bedroom! I know this has nothing to do with your post but it just came to mind. Happy birthday Elly :-)
