6th May is Elly’s Day

Happy Birthday to my Baby.

love award

The 6th of May is for me a time of reflection. With each passing year there are more memories to ponder over. I think about all the things that Elly has accomplished over the years. From an early age she showed great promise and talent.

She became a sculptor

Dancing Queen Elly

She learned to dance to:

She learned to cook

She became a bookworm

Became expert at Car maintenance

Carried out surveys

Became accomplished as a needle woman

With this wealth of talent George must have a very easy life :!:

(pity we forgot to teach her to wash dishes;) )

Aye, the birdie song - twas very popular in the Spanish resorts in the early 80’s! Shame, however that I’ve forgotten a lot of those talents over the years.

Thanks Mum - I love you! xxx

Well it was either the Birdie song or push pineapple etc.

Have a great day and year ahead.

The picture entitled ‘She became a bookworm’ has a 60’s FIAT 600D in the background. That was my first car!

    Happy birthday Elly :-)

On the subject of washing dishes - Man’s work! I remember living in my first student flat on Baggot St. It was a dingy basement but it was home and it was freedom. I shared with 2 girls, one a friend’s girlfriend and the other her friend. We all landed with our assorted collections of non matching cuttlery and crockery but I also had a box which contained at least 30 mugs! Great Gillian said - We will only have to wash up once a week (and she meant it) - I spent the rest of the year cleaning up after the two of them :-) And to cap it all I slept in the pantry which was the so called 2nd bedroom! I know this has nothing to do with your post but it just came to mind.

30 is the beginning of the rest of her life.

Thank you everyone for the greetings.

PaddyAnglican, Elly never learned to wash dishes ’cause her dad did all of them (his idea)!

Happy birthday to your dear Elly! I’m only 6 days behind, (mine’s the 12th) but I’ll be at least 30 years older. May birthday people rule!
