That was good! And I would well believe it. Medical staff often treat patients, especially older ones, like objects. My daughter - a student nurse is still getting used to hearing things like..”Bed 14 needs temperature taking”, or bed 20 needs a bath”. Why not use their name? Actually I wrote awhile back on older people being ignored… http://earthanduniverse.blogspot.com/2005/12/old-folk-can-be-cool.html

My blog got ignored too - proving my pointI guess!

    John,

I did not know of your blog until recently. I have read your post ‘Old folk can be cool’ and agree with what you have written. I did a Podcast on the same theme ‘Oldbones’ on 28th Sept ’06 and also a poem on 20th Feb ’07 in ‘Do you have a Hankie?

Please don’t get the wrong idea, I might be 60 but inside my head I am only 30! Somebody made a mistake on my Birthcert! ;)
